PTE FAQs

The test fee is USD 230

To book your test, you will first need to create a myPTE account. Please visit www.pearsonpte.com to create your myPTE account. Here are a few tips to help you through the account creation process:


Check the ID policy before you book your test

It is very important that you know what forms of identification (ID) are acceptable, and that you have made sure your personal information matches the exact spelling of the details in your ID. Please check our ID policy before you book.


Under-18s require consent to book

If you are under the age of 18, you will need consent from a parent or guardian. We provide information in the booking process on how to confirm they have given consent.


Don’t create more than one myPTE account

For security reasons we cannot allow more than one account per user. If you accidentally create two accounts, you will need to merge them before you can book a test. This may delay any booking you wish to make. 

Once you have created your myPTE account, you are ready to schedule your test. You can do this online through your account page, or over the phone through our call centers (to do this, contact your local Customer Support team by phone).


Receiving your booking confirmation

If you do not receive a confirmation email within two working days, please check your junk or spam email folders. You can also check your myPTE account dashboard to see confirmation of your booking, including the time and date. 

If your plans change, you may cancel your test booking at any time and reschedule the appointment if there are more than 14 days before your test.

Sign in to your myPTE account and follow the instructions to ‘reschedule’ or ‘cancel’ your test on your account dashboard, under the booking information. You will then receive an email confirming the change or cancellation. 

The ‘reschedule’ button will not be displayed if you have already rescheduled the booked test appointment 6 times or if there are 14 days or less left before your test.

Fees and refunds


You may be charged a fee, depending on how close to the test booking you reschedule or cancel your test. 


Rescheduling policy 

Please note that the day of your test is not included in these policy timeframes.  

  • More than 14 days before your test date: you may reschedule your test at no charge
  • 14 days or less before your test date: you cannot reschedule the test. In this scenario, you can only cancel your test and book a new appointment.
  • You may only reschedule your test a maximum of six times.

Cancellation policy 

Please note that the day of your test is not included in these policy timeframes. 

  • 14 days or more before your test date: you will receive a full refund 
  • 8-13 days before your test date: you will be eligible for a 50% refund of the original test fee 
  • 7 days or less before your test date: you will not be eligible for any refund.  


Any refund you are eligible for will be credited back to the original credit/debit card or bank account you used to book the test. If you paid with a voucher, we will issue you with a new voucher with any deductions for late cancellation.

A valid and original ID (Passport, Driver’s License, UMID, SSS ID, PRC ID, National ID, and Military ID) and payment using a credit card (Visa/Mastercard/American Express/JCB), debit card (Visa or Mastercard only), or PTE Voucher.

Paypal is not accepted.

If you haven’t yet booked a PTE test
You can change your personal information, except your username, from your myPTE account. After login, go to the top right-hand menu and select ‘Account’ and then ‘Profile’. Make the changes required and click ‘Save’ at the bottom of the screen.

If you have booked your first test
you can change any of your personal information (except your username) up to 24 hours before your test appointment. You can do this through your myPTE account.

You will not be able to make changes to your personal information in the 24 hours before your test, and up until you receive your results.

Once you have received your results, you will then be able to update your full address, country of residence, or telephone number, if your situation has changed.

If you have not yet received your results – please wait for your Score Report to be available in your myPTE account before attempting to change any personal details.

If you need to change any details other than those listed above – please complete the Personal Information Update form. One of our team members in Customer Support will assist you.

Important: please make sure that all of your personal information (legal name, date of birth, country of citizenship) exactly matches the information in your formal identification document.

Five working days or fewer since your test

We kindly ask that you wait patiently. You will receive an email from PTE when your score is ready. Test results usually are available within five working days, if not earlier.  

Over five working days since your test

We recommend checking your junk or spam email folders for our email, or logging into your myPTE account to check if your results are available.
